RAXE500 Can not get IP address on wireless
I have a number of KASA light switches that worked fine with prior netgear router. Purchased a RAXE500 and had set it to Smart connection for 2.4 and 5G networks. It seemed the switches were having issues as they would lose connection.
I decided to turn this off and started resetting my switches. After about 15 or so switches my phone could not reconnect to the wireless stating "Couldn't get IP address" on any of the wireless networks (2.4, 5 or 6), Wired laptop works.
Firmware V1.0.7.68_2.0.35
I tried the version prior too

Re: RAXE500 Can not get IP address on wireless
I think it will be a total of 35. Currently only about 15 switches are connected.

Re: RAXE500 Can not get IP address on wireless
It should support up to 32 devices per band for something like smart switches. I think I've had around 20+ on my RAXE500's 2.4ghz without issues.
did you try a simple factory reset/reinstall on the RAXE? (don't use a backup configuration)
If you're using the same ssid after the reset, devices should just auto reconnect.
Another thing you can try doing is shut off the switches once they're connected. Then add more devices and once they're all setup, then turn them back on.

Re: RAXE500 Can not get IP address on wireless
From Netgear chat (I only got to 40 devices before it would not give out another IP address)
Thanks for contacting NETGEAR Concierge. It was a pleasure speaking with you about NETGEAR’s products and how they can help improve your home WiFi.
Earlier, we discussed the optimal amount of devices connected to the RAXE500. As it turns out, it is 60 devices vs 50. Hopefully with the information that was provided earlier I was able to answer all of your questions.
I’m here to provide additional advice and information to help you shop and choose the best-in-class WiFi Solution for your home. Please feel free to reach out directly to me if you would like further assistance.

Re: RAXE500 Can not get IP address on wireless
For your future needs, Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the NightHawk RAX WiFi 6 Router products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with NH router products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.
