Router Dropping Internet Connection

My router drops it's signal multiple times daily.  I downloaded an update about two weeks ago.  Prior to the update. this was not happening.   What do I do to regain a consistant signal?

    Have you tried changing the channel on the router? 

     

    You may want to try to play around with the channels to see which channel is best to use.

    Does it happen on both wired and wireless devices?

    Have you reset the router to factory default?

      It happens on wireless connections. Yes, I reset the router to factory specs.
