Router at 400 mbs but modem only send out 90 mbs
Spectrum modem sending 400 mbs, router is much slower at 90 mbs. How do I speed the router up? Using latest version of firmware.

Re: Router at 400 mbs but modem only send out 90 mbs
what modem do you have?
Have you checked the link statistics to see if its connecting at gigabit speeds?

You can try changing the cable. make sure you're using a cat 5e or > cable for gigabit speeds.
How are you testing the speeds? (what device, service, etc)

Re: Router at 400 mbs but modem only send out 90 mbs
Modem is an Arris from Spectrum. Cables have been changed out, speed test from Ookla. My son brought his R7000 AC1900 in and its output is exactly what the modem is producing. Changed his MTU to 1490. What should I be looking for from your answer about link statistics and what do I need to change them?
Thanks for your help!!

What does the link status show?
What arris modem is it?
There isn't a way to manually change the link speed. It auto-negotiates the speed
