Security Vulnerability: VU#582384 -- Cannot Access My Netgear Console

I received Security Vulnerability: VU#582384 alert from Netgear a couple days ago. When I tried to access my netgear R7000 console on my PC so I could make the recommended firmware update, I was blocked from the site. After a nervewracking hour or so, I decided to do a reset at the router. This unblocked the site, but I got a warning stating that another user was logged in, and asked if I wanted to log in and end that user's session. Of course, I did, and was able to access the console and download the latest firmware version: 1.0.7.6
However, I'm concerned that my network was breached by a bad actor. True?
If so, what precautions should I take? I've already changed my router login password, but should I assume that all my other passwords were compromised as well?
I tried to engage Netgear in a LiveChat to address this, but support was not available unless I pay. See, I believe if Netgear's negligence allowed this vulnerability in the first place, then Netgear should be making itself readily available to support its user community. After all, this is not just a firmware hiccup. It's possible that all of my personal data, including access to financial website accounts, may have been hacked. I hope Netgear is monitoring this.
