Hello everyone,
I have a nighthawk x6 AC3200 Tri-Band WiFI Router. I want to put it in the AP mode, but I would like to connect it to an existing router wirelessly. Is that possible, or is the only way to do it trough Ethernet cable.
Thanks.

Not with stock firmware. it doesn't have wireless repeater/extender function built in. some routers did but not the R7900.

Re: Setting the router in the AP mode
Its not an extender. Which is what you're trying to do. For AP mode, it needs to be hardwired in.
Even on extenders, in ap mode, they need to be wired in.

Thank you for your reply. Can I make my router be wireless repeater/extender?
