WNDR4300v2 - Persistent Issues with 5GHz Network?
I have owned my WNDR4300v2 router for about 5-7 years, and lately its 5GHz network persistently slows from normal +100Mbs speeds to 5-10Mbps. I'll then connect to the 2.4GHz network in the router, which operates at about 30-50Mbs. Usually when I switch back to the 5GHz network, the +100MBs speed is restored.
Any ideas why the 5GHz network in this router keeps dropping speed?
Thanks,

Re: WNDR4300v2 - Persistent Issues with 5GHz Network?
have you tried reinstalling the firmware, doing a factory reset, and then installing it again?
When devices start to get old, settings/firmware can get corrupted. by reinstalling the firmware and factory resetting, if thats the problem, it should clear those issues out.
Or it could be the device getting old.
