Wired router losing connection with PS5 every 15 minutes
Howdy all. I'm having some issues with my router dropping connection randomly. Sometimes it feels like every 15 minutes but it's only really noticeable when gaming and in the middle of a game. I have an aris surfboard and it's connected to the router. The router has a wired connection to my computer and then my PS5.
Obviously the issue is it sometimes drops me out of the game and I do some competitive gaming with friends and it's gotten tiring. The issue has been going on for about three months and I've confirmed with my ISP that it's not them; they gave me a router/modem with their company and my connection was stable for four days with it. Running the cable through my current moden and the connection is stable too. I'd like to try to figure out if I can edit or change my router to make it work, before buying a new router before even knowing if it'll fix the issue.
I've tried setting a static IP with my PS5 and the router. I've tried port forwarding. I've tried basically everything I've read online about fixing it. Firmware is up to date and I havent seen any posts about the FW causing issues with the connection.
Any help is appreciated, this is my last stop nefore i roll the dice and buy a new router.. probably not a netgear one either, haha. Thanks!

1. what actual surfboard is it? Arris SB8200
2. what firmware version are you on? The most recent, V1.1.0.110_1.0.1
3. the ps5 is hardwired in? Yep, and the hardwire worked fine when connected directly through the surfboard
4. have you tried setting up the ps5 in the netgears DMZ? I'm not quite certain what the DMZ is, but I did try to allocate a specific IP to the PS5 per instructions I found online. Didn't seem to work.
try putting the ps5 in the netgear's dmz
