Hello. I've recently upgraded to the Nighthawk router. So much faster than my old Comcast setup. The only issue is I cannot print from a Mac. I have no problem printing from any laptop running Windows. I have ethernet cable running from the printer to the router. I can see the printer if logged into routerlogin.net, but whenever my MacBookPro (sierra - 10.12.6) tries to connect to the printer (HP Officejet Pro 8600), I get a message "An error occurred while trying to add the printer". Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your time.

Sort of suggests that you check the printer and its setup.
HP has printer utilities for Windows and Macs. It is probably on your Mac already. Look for it or ask the HP community what to do.
You will also find more if you search this forum for "HP Printer".

Fed by what, some kind of modem(+router)? ISP?

"see" how, exactly? Attached Devices report, or what? Can you see
the Mac there, too?

What, exactly, are you doing? Are you trying to "add the printer",
or "connect to" an existing "the printer"? If the printer is already
installed on the Mac (left over from when the old router was used), then
I'd try removing it, and adding it again (using the new router).
