nighthawk R8000P not updating firmware through app and unable to reach site on desktop

Question

hello all I am having trouble updating my nighthawk router to the latest firmware update. when i try to update it through the nighthawk app it states it is unable to at the time even after hitting the try again button it still fails. whenever I also try to manually go to the routerlogin.net site it states that it is unreachable through chrome, Firefox and even opera gx I have seen some stating I need to factory reset the router but I do not know how to and the support for my router ended a while back I bought this router in 2020 so it is only 3 years old. it works fine but the firmware updates do not go through and I want to be sure that any security updates that are with the newest update for the nighthawk go through.
