Re: switching to IPv6
Is it giving you incorrect password/login result?
When you first set it up, it asks you to change the password.
So if you don't know your password, then you'd need to use the password recovery option.
If you didn't set it up, then you'd need to factory reset to get back in.

Re: switching to IPv6
so i just spoke with spectrum they said i need a cat6 ethernet cable and it should work just fine, so im goin to run out and get one and see if that changes anything, im almost positive but before i moved with same router and modem i was able to hardwire using this cord with existing equipment

Re: switching to IPv6
the cable shouldn't impact ipv4-ipv6 settings. It also shouldn't impact your password

Re: switching to IPv6
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
That'll reset it back to factory. Then follow the install guide.
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with.
