Yes.

do you usually have to make changes with the att device to get it working properly? Yes. ATT tends to give people combo units which makes the network run a double nat without some changes to either the att router or the netgear router.

Re: Compatibility with AT&T UVerse

Currently I don’t have a router, just a modem. I’m getting about 40-50 mbps download speed, which is the fastest speed available for my area. I was told that this router would help with all of the WiFi devices running in the house which is about 3,000 sq ft and is two-stories. I just want to make sure it will work with our AT&T U-Verse.

again, most of att devices have an integrated router. Which device are you currently using?

It’s from AT&T, a Pace model 5268AC

Which has an integrated router.

You'd need the pace put in "passthrough" mode to disable its routing functions.

Or the orbi put in the Pace's DMZ.

Or the orbi put in AP (access point) mode so only 1 router is in router mode.

Re: Compatibility with AT&T UVerse

If you're planning on setting it on the Pace, the best bet is to contact att. They can walk you through it. there's guides online as well like this:

https://www.att.com/support/smallbusiness/article/smb-internet/KM1188700/

if you plan on putting the netgear in access point mode then the guide for the device walks you through it.
