I've experienced similar connection drop issues with my RAX80. Even with the latest firmware, devices disconnect randomly, disrupting streaming and web browsing. Reboots haven't resolved the issue. Has anyone found a solution or experienced this problem? I'm hesitant about a factory reset. Appreciate any insights!

Disable the Guest Wireless. This model doesn’t multitask very well.
One other thing you can do is change the frequency bands - there could be a conflict with your neighbors.
To be honest, this router had been nothing but problematic from day one for me, and only “stabilized” itself for me after 6 months worth of firmware releases to get to a semi-stable state (‘without Guest wireless).
Sad to say this, I am definitely never going with Netgear for my next replacement router.

I tried the RAX80 last month after having had exactly the same issues 2 years ago.
Needless to say with the latest firmware the issues still exist, devices still drop randomly from the router.
I don't think this has anything to do with CPU load.
In my case, I factory reset, setup the SSID & choose extender mode (as I have an ISP router).
The issue was present with 30 minutes of using it.
Streaming issues, drop from online gaming.
I recently installed a Synology wrx router.
It worked out of the box with 60 devices and I've had no connecting issues.
So the Netgear EX8000 and Synology work out of the box, it must a common problem with the RAX80
