Netgear NighthawkX4S R7800 (2017). Want to purchase a new router.
We want to purchase a new, faster router with better coverage. (We upgraded our Xfinity plan for faster speeds, etc.). Our house is 3 levels; the router is on the top floor and the TV/AV system is on the bottom floor. Do we go with a Mesh System or a "standard" router? Thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Re: Netgear NighthawkX4S R7800 (2017). Want to purchase a new router.
The R7800 is a top of the line AC router. Its usually the router I recommend for those not looking for a mesh system.
AX routers didn't add much in the terms of distance but did add a bit in speed (if close to the router) and in concurrent usage.
If you're looking for better coverage in the home, I'd look at a mesh system (triband).
