Nighthawk AX5 AX4200 WiFi Router (RAX43v2) will not maintain internet connection
I just purchased the router to replace the original 7800 for parental control features. Installation was straightforward and quick. No issues, and the new router worked just fine for about an hour then it lost internet connection. The cable modem was working correctly. Rebooted the router and it was back working for another hour or so. Had to reinstall the 7800 router to maintain a consistent connection.
Thought I should reach out to see if any one could add to the solution before returning router.
Take it back then. Try something else then.

This is a brand new unit out of the box today.

LAN cable is a new one supplied with router Version 1.1.3.18
The Internet light goes completely out
If the LED is turning OFF or going out, means the RAX router is no longer getting any signal from the ISP modem. I'd have the ISP check the modem to see when this happens, look at the logs there.
That would sound logical if the two other Nighthawk routers I have worked just fine when installed.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Does the top Internet LED turn AMBER when this happens?
