RAX45 VPN Security Outdated?
I have four of the RAX45 routers in service with VPN enabled on all of them. I have been using the OpenVPN client software on my phone and laptop to connect to these routers for several years. A few months ago, OpenVPN updated their clients to v3.4. With that update, I was no longer able to connect to the RAX45 routers. Through trial and error, I eventually found that I needed to lower the OpenVPN client security settings from “preferred” with “modern security defaults” and “compression is disabled” to “legacy” with compression allowed”, “AES-CBC algorithms allowed “, and “minimum TLS version 1.2”.
When will the RAX45 firmware be updated to use the latest “preferred” VPN security? Thanks.
