there is another thread that solves this issue.
Basically, you have to do a factory reset. You can do this before or after you update the firmware.
If you do it aftwards. Don't restore any backup configs. I know, this "sucks" but whatelse is new with these routers.
Basically, anything you want to do to update this things firmware. Or solve some strange problem. Do a factory reset, update the firmware manually, and then reconfigure your settings, manually.
I had the same timezone issue. I did a factory reset after updating to the lastest firmware. And then reconfigured. My settings for my time zone are now correct.
I only just did this a few hours ago. after having the same firmware for about a year now. So, I don't know how stable this one is, or if I'll have to revert. But, so far so good.

While this firmware seems pretty solid, it still has it's issues. One of which has been a continuing problem since the first firmware release is problems with USB. I wish they would fix this! Any time you connect a USB drive, within 6 hours, this router will, completely drop all internet connection to all your connected devices. It's 100% guaranteed to happen every time. Secondly the iOS app reports wired connected devices as wireless and the whole GUI is messed up in the reporting of connected devices. I surely hope this is something they are working on as I have 2 nice USB drives sitting here waiting to be used. I had no issues using them on my X8, but can no way use them on this router in its present state.
