RAX80/Nighthawk AX8 Linux Kernel
Considering purchasing a netgear router - ie RAX80. Wondering what Linux Kernel build is underneath the surface, and if it is regularly updated. Thanks.

Re: RAX80/Nighthawk AX8 Linux Kernel
It's from the 4.x branch. The kernel is locked at a specific version and only patched if needed

Re: RAX80/Nighthawk AX8 Linux Kernel
There's been a large test of home router firmware. All brands ship with outdated components and known vulnerability issues. Some get patched, others don't. Home router market is in a pretty sad state regarding its software components. I'd worry more about that than the kernel itself
