RAXE500 router shows confusing multiple “Apple devices”
I am current on all devices. I have two wireless iPhones, one iPad and one Apple Watch as well as an iMac that is connected over Ethernet. As of a few days ago I get multiple entries with different MAC addresses for each of the wireless devices in the routers attached devices list. Sometimes the Netgear app gives me a pop up notification about this but most times it doesn’t. Their IP addresses are zeroes and they show as “offline” and I do see unique MAC addresses on each entry. Then there are the valid entries with IP addresses. This is confusing and it’s making it hard to distinguish valid devices from outside that I don’t want snooping around. I have the router channels password protected and I have the guest network turned off. From the best that I can tell this is showing the last “x” times that the devices have gone in and out of range and re-established themselves on the router and these are their older “registrations”. It doesn’t help that the router “forgets” the names I have assigned to devices. It’s making it difficult to scan the list of devices and verify that there are no outside devices attached. The invalid entries really pile up. Has anyone else had this issue?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

So far this seems to have calmed down the blizzard of messages and the proliferation of “offline” clients on my router.
Thanks!

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
