Seems like my Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5200 WiFi Router (RAX48) keeps rebooting continuously

My AX5200 WiFi Router (RAX48) was working without a glitch until last month when I unplugged the router for a month as I went overseas. When I returned, I could not connect to the router through WLAN or LAN. The power light keeps flipping between orange and white in every 10seconds. I tried resetting the router, toggling the on/off button, changing power outlet etc., but nothing works.
When I connect my Mac to the router with a LAN cable, what I see is
1. Power light is orange and LAN 1 light is white
2. After a few seconds, power light becomes while and LAN 1 light goes off
3. Keeps repeating 1 & 2 in every few seconds
The 2.4 and 5 GHz buttons never lit.
Is it an outdated firmware issue? If so, how to resolve this as I can't get into the router?
Edit: Purchased the router brand new in November 2020.

When the power light is blinging orange or white, it tends to indicate a boot/corrupt/firmware issue.
You've tried the reset.
You can try recovering it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
