Some old devices cannot connect anymore to AX40 after firware update
Hi,
at the begining, three months ago when I purchased the router, among all my devices, only a D-Link camera could not connect to wifi (can see the 2,4Ghz network but cannot connect - no solution at now). Then I updated my router twice since then and today I verified that also other old devices cannot anymore conenect to it. Those are two smart home devices.
I already configured, at the beginning, access point for the maximum compatibility with "old" devices:
- Enable AX: disable
- Wireless 2,4Ghz
- Enable 20/40Mhz coexistence: enable
- Security: WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK
Thanks for any help.

Re: Some old devices cannot connect anymore to AX40 after firware update
The RAX devices have been getting some significant firmware changes because they're so new. If you're running into issues, if you haven't already, try factory resetting the RAX after the firmware update and redo your setup manually. I've found the best luck with this route to reduce issues with the RAX devices.
What firmware are you on? (please don't say the latest)

Router firmware is V1.0.3.64_1.0.1 so...the latest.
Already triued with Factory Reset and nothing happens, still not visible. I can understand that new firmware are released daily but functions should not be cutted off.

Re: Some old devices cannot connect anymore to AX40 after firware update
A couple things you can try.
1. Disable DFS channels by going from 160hz down to 80 hz wide 5ghz channels. You'll set your speed from 2400mbps to 1200 mbps. this will force 80hz wide channels. Some devices can't use DFS channels and end up having issues.
2. Check your password. Some devices have issues with special characters. Something to try is to disable wifi security (temporarily) and see if the devices will connect.
3. Enable/disable beamforming. Usually doesn't fix the problem but its worth a shot.
4. Enable/disable airtime fairness.

Re: Some old devices cannot connect anymore to AX40 after firware update
Many thanks for all tips.
I did the following:
- Enable implicit BEAMFORMING: tried on and off
- Enable AIRTIME FARINESS: tried on and off
- lowered down 2.4Ghz mode from "up to 300mbps" till "up to 54mbps"
- removed special carachters from wifi 2.4Ghz password
Problem persists.

The RAX devices are pretty new. Have you tried downgrading a firmware version, resetting, and seeing if it'll connect?
