Who is your ISP?
Does your ISP support native IPv6?
Please post a screen capture of the routers IP address/debug.htm page please.

Thank you for posting that.
Something to ask the ISP, if they support native IPv6 features, if not then you can disable IPv6 on your RBR.
I noticed that nothing is getting filled in with it set to Auto so either the ISP doesn't support native IPv6 or they may require special IPv6 configuration to make it work. Something to ask them about.

Thank you for all your replies! As we research this further, I am going to make an educated guess on whether or not you have IPv6 enabled (or have the service from your ISP. Can you confirm whether or not you have IPv6?
Thanks for your assistance!
I think it may be more than just IPv6 or not. I think it may be a combination of BootLoader and IPv6 enablement.
I do have IPv6 enabled (6to4) although not sure it is actually functional as I am double-natting the 960 right now.
But I also have BootLoad V5 instead of 6.
I'm sure we will find the combination at some point in time!

Note: If you have the router set to Auto, it may not configure IPv6 properly or at all. Try DHCP first.

Good point TC, I bet you are right - IPv6 plus new ver 6 boot loader. I ran IPv6 for a long time on my 3 or 4 year old 850 series Orbi, and did not see this memory difference on the router.

I do have ipv6 enabled and it’s provided natively by my isp. Works like it was designed to work.

And do you see a Boot Loader version listed on the RBRs debug page?
I see your still on older v6 FW as well.

Re: ATTN RBR960 Orbi network users! Need a piece of info from you
Any progress on this?
@donawalt wrote:
HI all, we are trying to hunt down an anomaly that may be an issue and may not be - namely, that the 960 series of Orbi routers seems to regularly use more memory out of its 818MB than older Orbi systems.
So here is how to check and what to post - assuming your router IP address is 192.168.1.1, open your browser and go to http://192.168.1.1/debug.htm. It may complain about it not being secure, as it's not an https page. But hopefully you can get to it (I use Chrome/Mac or Edge/Windows and they work). It will ask you to log in like you would to log into your browser's main web page - user name - admin, pw - you password.
You will get a page of info about the router - the top section looks like this, please post just the two circled values, CPU Load and Memory Usage:
Again, just 960 series routers only please! My values are, as you can see:
CPU - 14.00%
Memory 564MB/818MB
Thank you very much! I and others will be examining the results.
