System is set up and working fine except that devices that are blocked via web site or app continue to have Internet access.
Using most recent firmware available through app update (haven't installed the most recent hotfix yet).

Thanks for the reply.
I reached out to support and based on their advice installed a new hotfix firmware, reset my system to factory defaults and now it works as expected.
A bit of a pain in the b#@t but at least it fixed the problem.

Re: Access control has no effect on Orbi RBK853
What FW version do you have loaded?
Checking my 8 series with v32 FW, I can enable Access Controls, Select Block all new devices from connecting.
Check marked my iphone and android pad.
Select the Block button on the UI and the router seems to engage the process. After it's back to ready, I checked my iphone and pad and they would could not get internet access though were still connected to the wifi.
After selecting Allow devices, both iphone and pad were able to gain internet access again.
