Is the RBS50Y in Orbi mode?
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Orbi - NETGEAR Communities
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Re: Cannot sync RBR760 to RBS50Y
Unfortunately, the original Orbi AC line (the 20/30/40/50) series will not sync to anything from the AX line (Orbi 3xx, 6xx, 7xx, 8xx, 9xx). The methodology they use to talk to each other via the backhaul is different.
The Orbi 50Y (V2) can be put into Extender Mode instead of Orbi Mode and can be connected that way, but it is not considered a Satellite and part of the mesh network when done that way - it is truly considered an extender.
