Computer not showing up

Having the same issue.  Seems like other devices are showing up - but the actual Dell computer is showing as offline all the time.

Think it's the RBK version, but honestly not 100%

Re: Computer not showing up

Please look at the main router base unit. If the back of the unit you see a ISP Cable coax line connected. It's the CBR version.
Confirm this by looking at the data sticker on the bottom.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

It's the RBK version - and the firmware is v4.6.14.3

Re: Computer not showing up

What is the Dell PC wire or wireless connected?

Do you have any Armor or SPC enabled on the RBR using the Orbi app?

Is this the only devices that doen't show up or appear on the RBRs web page or Orbi app?

Re: Computer not showing up

Wireless connected, using the Orbi App, and yes, other devices are showing up, but I'm not sure if it's 100% everything else, but definitely not the Dell laptop.  I don't have the Armor, and I don't know what SPC is

Just a bit of trivia:  Netgear has a pretty consistent naming convention for the residential products:

"K" is used to designate a "Kit", such as RBKxxx, which consists of

  • One RBRxx ("R" for "Router") and
  • One or more RBSxx ("S" for "Satellite") units.

The "K" version is printed on the box, while the "R" and "S" refer to model number shown on the product label (along with the serial number and MAC address), usually on the bottom of the case.

Likewise, products that begin with the letter "C" are "Cable Modem" devices.  (so, the router would be a CBR)

Products that begin with "L" are "LTE" network routers.

There are similar naming conventions for the business product lines.

Re: Computer not showing up

Does the DELL not appear in the RBRs web page as well, or is this just Orbi app?

What version of Orbi app are you using and what platform?

Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

What other devcies are not showing up?

Re: Computer not showing up

I don't know how to access RBR webpage, just been using the Orbi app.  Orbi app version is 2.29.1.129 and on iOS.  And not having any issues I don't think w/ the Apple products so not sure the MAC randomizer is the issue w/ the Dell

Re: Computer not showing up

Use a web browser on the Dell PC and a web browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1 to access the RBRs web page.
