Trying to reconnect a Netgear WNCE2001 wifi adapter to my Orbi. It has previously been connected now it doesn't show up on the connected devices. A notification is generated that a new device has been connected but there is no device indicated on the app ... clicking on the notification takes me to a page to extend the Armor subscription but that is subject of another post.
I have rebooted the Orbi and the modem numerous times in the recommended order and yet no positive result.
As I am having similar issues maintaining connection of my Google Hub to the Orbi satellite, I am begining to regret the purchase of this +$1k product.

Ah Hah ! Excellent. I'll reconfigure an old Netgear N300 router as a bridge.
Thank you so much for your persistence with my problem 😉

Re: Device won't connect - AX6000 RBR850 FW V3.2.18.1
So I've done that and what has happened is that all of the 2.4G connections are blocked. Why does the device create a connection like 192.168.x.x and not a connection to the router like 10.0.x.x ?
Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Device won't connect - AX6000 RBR850 FW V3.2.18.1
You'll need to read thru it's user manual and see how to set it up to work with the router. Seems like it may not be set up right or not handling the IP addressing it should be getting from the wifi system. Possible that this one device may not work well with Orbi AX systems.
Good Luck.

Re: Device won't connect - AX6000 RBR850 FW V3.2.18.1
Thanks for trying Furry.
Funny that, the device is a Netgear Universal WiFi Internet adaptor 😉 ... standard automatic setup done transferring connections from a Netgear Nighthawk.
I have attempted to read the manual but don't have the time to sift through all 141 pages in detail to find anything, so far my cursory search has revealed zilch ... the manual not particularly intuitive in this respect.
If there are any Netgear Orbi support staff monitoring this blog, I'd really like some help please, before my free support runs out.

Re: Device won't connect - AX6000 RBR850 FW V3.2.18.1
Try using the installation guide to help you install this wireless bridge adapter?
https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WNCE2001/WNCE2001_IG_28JULY2010.pdf
Try option #8 under FAQ to connect to its web page.
I see this adaper only supports 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n
This adapter may old enough that it may not work on Orbi AX systems. I see a date year of 2010 on the install guide PDF.
You may want to get into a more up to date wireless bridge adapter or a router that supports wireless bridge mode. Something like a R7800, R7960P(I have this model and is set up and working in wireless bridge mode connected to my RBR850 currently.) Some model R or RAX series router that supports wireless bridge mode and use it to connect to the Orbi AX system.

Re: Device won't connect - AX6000 RBR850 FW V3.2.18.1
The WNCE2001 resp. all Ralink RT3052 was OK on Windows XP, but became cumbersome on later WIndows versions. One one hand, current drivers are not avilable for decent Windows builds. On the other hand, often Power Saving had to be disabled. Afraid, its more or less a relict of the past.
