Re: IPhones and iPads constantly lose connection or will connect with self assigned IP address.
What model Orbi do you have?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.
What region are you located?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?

All other devices work flawlessly except for three iPhones and an iPad in my family. (Iphone 15 pro, iphone 13, and ipad pro

Re: IPhones and iPads constantly lose connection or will connect with self assigned IP address.
Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
Try option #2 first...
Ok for that size of home, you only need the RBR and 1 RBS. Two RBS maybe causing those devices to ping pong around and not connect properly and fail to lock on. I have a 5000sq ft home and get away with one RBS. When I do have both connected, I turn down the power on the RBR to 25%. Haven't seen any issues with my Apple devices.
Turn OFF both RBS first and see if the Apple devices connect to just the RBR alone. Then try just one RBS out at 30 feet from the RBR. I'd turn down the power on your RBR to 50% and then test again.

Try with just the RBR and one RBS. Turn the other one off.
After testing and observation, review the new FW update as well:

Re: IPhones and iPads constantly lose connection or will connect with self assigned IP address.
My iPhone gets a self assigned IP address I toggle off and on wifi and after a few minutes, it’ll eventually reconnect.
Fwiw - I don’t experience this issue when I’m on my work wifi which I’m on 9 hours a day x 5 days a week.

Re: IPhones and iPads constantly lose connection or will connect with self assigned IP address.
Gonna recommend you make contact with NG support and ask about RMA options. I think you should try another system to see if this resolves this issue. I think your the only one seeing this issue thus far. We've beta tested the new FW extensively and haven't see this issue to date. Ask for a cross shipping RMA. If the one they send you still doesn't work then you can sent it back.

Hello @brandobot,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are experiencing difficulties with iOS devices on your network. I read the recent post and noticed that you turned off your "private IP address" settings on your iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 13, and iPad.
