Im going from the 850 to 960 this weekend. Did you leave the old 850 running while you set up the 960?

Re: Im going from the 850 to 960 this weekend.
Yes you can. What I do. I pre setup and pre-stage the RBRE960 first and get it setup with same SSID name and password for the main wifi network. Once the 960 is pre-staged. Take it to the same location and the 850. Plug the power in for the 960. Reboot the ISP modem at this point. Connect the 960 to the ISP modem. Disconnect all other wired LAN cables from the 850 and connect them to the 960. Once you see the front LED turn OFF on the 960, power off the 850. Your wireless devices should auto migrate to the 960 if you use same SSID name and password and same WPA security settings. There's Mixed WPA2 and WPA3 on the 960.

Sounds like a dream, thanks for your prompt detailed response. Does the Mobile App ORBI setup give you option of using same SSID and Password as the 850 during the process?
May come back in panic mode over the weekend.

Yes it should though I don't use Orbi app to setup the incoming Orbi system. I use a wired PC and web browser, MS Edge, for this.
