Netgear CM2000 combined with Orbi RBR750
Hello
I moved 4 months ago and transferred my Spectrum account to the new address. During the same time, Spectrum had a deal and upgraded me to a 1GB speed plan.
I had actually forgotten about the upgrade since we were busy with the move. So, I was paying my bill and realized it. However, I was not getting the speeds. Customer service said I need a new/different modem (I was using an Arris SB6190 that I purchased with the Orbi RBR750).
I got the CM2000 installed and activated. Everything works but still not getting the speeds (around 450-500mbps with the router/satellite right beside my laptop).
When I check the speeds in the Orbi app, it's actually 900mbps+.
My question is, is there a setting that I need to change so the wifi can get the same speeds like the Orbi app?

No.
Check your speed with Ooklas installable speed test app on the laptop.
If the laptop is wirelessly connected to the RBR or RBS, most likely you'll never see anything near 900Mbps. Depends on wifi design and support of the wifi device. Most top out at around 300-600Mpbs depending.
What is the mfr and model# of the wifi adapter in the laptop?
Speed test with the laptops ethernet adapter connected to the back of the RBR...
