You can disable FW updates now.

Nov 21, 2022Im still on V4.6.7.13_2.1.9, which is stable for me. No Satellites are disconnecting, wifi is stable. Only browsing via IOS is slow af, support says it's iOSs fault, because it checks the security of wifi-passwords (wtf, never heard of it).
Is this firmware now worth an upgrade? Is it stable?

Has been much discussion about experiences with this version. Other than the installation of it. It may or may not be seen to users on there systems. And again, NG has made FW auto update controls available to users now.
Hopefully it's been good for users.
If your system is running well, you don't have to update.

I've been running stable with this latest release for just over 1 week now. No issues. Upgrade was smooth, following standard upgrade process described in the first post in this thread. I did not need to perform a factory reset, after upgrade everything came up running smooth. The main differences I notice are:
1. smoother / more reliable wifi handoffs between orbi base stations.
2. more consistent wifi speeds
But this is just based on 1 week of observations. It easily could be my neighbors made a wifi change, and I'm getting a benefit from reduced interference (or something else like that, out of my control). So far so good. I would recomend trying it out if you are on the fence. It has been positive for me.

Glad its working well. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
