No Release Notes at this time. I'll see if I can get some.

Firmware Update Instructions:
To update your product’s firmware, follow the instructions in your product’s user manual.
To find your user manual, visit https://www.netgear.com/support/, enter your model number in the search box, and click the Documentation button on the product page.
If you manually update, be sure to update the RBS first, then RBR lastly.
NOTE: Update the RBS first, then the RBR lastly. After the FW files are loaded and the RBS and RBR are ready, power OFF the RBS and RBR for 2 minutes then back ON.
Unplug the power adapters from the power wall outlet.
A factory reset maybe needed if problems are encountered:

Applied the new firmware as directed by Furrye38's post - word for word
Have NOT done a factory reset and rebuild as yet
Status so far
- Whatsapp calls still fail as Wi-Fi drops after a few mins - same as before - ZERO change
- Still unable to use Dynamic DNS - error is "Unable to complete the job, reason: Unable to locate hostname in your account". I can access my account on noip.com using the same email and password I entered into the router - checked and double chekced 100%
- Still unable to email logs - error is "[email failed] Polite people say HELO first, Friday, Jan 07,2022 10:56:05"
Will try factory reset and complete rebuild from scratch later today
Did you power OFF the RBR and RBS for 1 minute then back ON after the FW was applied?

Does someone honestly believe that the log file will now grow indefinitely? My Orbi has been 'up' for 42 days and has generated over 6,000 log entries. It has stayed up for as long as 180 days, which would amount to something over 30,000 log entries. Look forward to a community report that substantiates the log growing forever.
Appplied both firmware as instructed. I did remove power to the sattelite after the router upgrade and it connected without issue. So far a solid upgrade.

Is this an official release or beta?
if official, will it come via auto install at some point?
to get get the full benefit, should I do a factory reset first, then upgrade, then setup new?

See OP post at start of this chat
I believe this is a official beta. Don't know if this will get to the download site or auto update.
I asked NG since users were getting some newer stuff from Official NG support, if we could get something for the 7 and 8 series. Since problems have been plaguing Orbi AX ever since v4 FW first appeared last year and taking a long time to get something good, I pushed to get something from them since those users that phoned NG support reporting getting better results with what they go from NG support. SOOOOO. NG gave me this to post for everyone. Were hoping to see better results and from what I'm seeing, there seems to be better results.
So, load it up and let us know. Or wait till something gets fully released. Don't ask me that. I have zero information.
I recommend powering OFF The RBS and RBR for 1 minute or longer then power ON the RBR first and let it come to ready, then power ON the RBS one at a time. See how the system works for you. If you noticed problems then do a full on reset and setup from scratch.

Well...I didn't do a factory reset, I think unless you have issues, you can skip this piece. I upgraded the satellite, installed the firmware on the router, unplug the satellite. Rebooted the router. plugged the satellite back in, solid performance since the upgrade.
- FodenApprenticeWithout doing a factory reset everything works perfectly fine and the router would appear to be as solid as a rock. Until, I start a Whatsapp voice call and then it will drop between almost instantly to 5-6 mins. If I did'nt use Whatsapp, Fongo voip type apps I would think it was 100%, but it's not for me at least. Once I do a factory reset and rebuild it's OK
- CarstenNLAspirantUse generate app password and use it on the router email verification..

I don't actually want to use gmail for my logs, was simply using a second email account to validate sending logs via email doesn't work

I updated to the 4.6.7.5 (Router and 1 Satellite) with no issues.
After update, unplugged both router and satellite for approximately 5 minutes. Turned them back on and satellite took a little longer than I remember to connect, but connected and reported GOOD connection.
DDNS registration (to mynetgear.com) was successful. Saw successful DDNS registration in log and was able to ping it successfully.
I also did a test send of my router log (manual send) and it was successful. I have a noip.com mail account, and the connection was successful and router log was sent and received successfully.
Still other testing to do, but two of the issues reported by others (DDNS and Log Mailing) are not being seen on my system.

Also I installed the latest firmware version 4.6.7.5_2.1.7 , after many, many, manyh drops of the WIFI connection during the day of my Orbi 852 Router and Satellite.
Also this version does not fixed that issue.
Below some screenshots of the drops the last 3 hours, taken from a computer connected to the wifi network...

Possible that your series 8 Orbi has different firmware to the series 7 we have here
Please post about this here for your 8 series Orbi:
Thank you.

- PalvyreAspirantDid this include any fixes for SPC? Specifically the Bedtime scheduling is not currently working.
Check the release notes:

- I have started the process. In updating the satellite, it got to 99% and then the satellite went offline.
- Reset on satellite fixed it and update success. Router update was uneventful. Time will tell if it solves problem. It’s weird though, some days router is fine. Last night, internet dropped ten times. If you wait, internet eventually comes back.

If you wait, internet eventually comes back.Is the internet dropping or is the router rebooting or can you tell - and are you sure it's the router and not the modem? I had an issue where I would lose internet for a bit - and actually it was my ISP provided modem actually dying and rebooting often. I could tell it was the modem and not the router because I also lost my telephone (I have telephone and internet from my ISP).
You might also want to look at the debug page on the router and check CPU Load and Memory Usage occasionally to see if CPU Load is way up or Memory Usage is growing. Memory usage is shown similar to this: Memory Usage(Used/Total): 369 MB/811 MB (I am on a RBKE963 so amounts may be different). If the first number is continuing to grow - then something is causing a memory leak and could be causing your router to reboot. Make sure you don't have Start Debug Log Capture when boot up checked. If it is, you could be filling up memory with debug log info - and causing it to crash/reboot.
To get to the debug screen (in case you don't know how) - log into your router via the IP address followed by /debug.htm (i.e. http://192.168.1.1/debug.htm)
- It’s the router and not the modem. When router not working, direct connection to modem works. Debug on startup not checked. CPU load and memory usage is ok.
