No Wi-Fi 6 on New MacBook Pro

New 16-inch MacBook Pro does not support Wi-Fi 6. Very disappointing  considering that this year's iPhone 11 already supports  Wi-Fi 6. Not a good news for us who  have a WiFi 6 router.

Did you revview the specs before you bought it? I have a new MBP 2018, no AX. Not really important to me.

My son got it for school and is happy. I just wanted to see if it can have WiFi at my maximum service speeds. His room is where the RBR is and maximum he gets is 650 Mbps.

Ya, I presume MBP won't see AX until next year. I just got mine for my bday. I do like it. Though it only has USB C ports so I have to get USB A to USB C adapters for my older USB A devices.

What is your average WiFi speed in the same room with RBR or RBS 850 with your 2018 Mac?

Im seeing 1170Mbps on AC mode.

Did you install WiFiSweetspot app on your MacBook pro and it is showing 1170Mbps or Orbi app is reporting the Link Rate 1170Mbps?

Opt-Click on the WiFi signal icon on the top tool bar in OSX to see link rate.
