Orbi RBK852
Have an RBK852 and an extra satellite purchased separately. Had issue with repeated drops after 4 months. Troubleshooting led to router malfunction and NG replaced with new router. Installed and was working nearly as normal. I then upgraded to 1G speed from my ISP (Optimum) who installed an Arris combo modem/router. Worked fine for a day and then stopped. Tried to reboot. Tried to reset to factory setting and still no go. Installed Eero 6 for now to get something in home for kids school - works great but not as good as orbi. Now I need to get my orbi back up and running still. Eero speed tests are appropriate fir 1G coming in so that’s not the issue.
Redid the install after hard reset on router and satellites and won’t even connect to the WiFi when attempted thru app. Cannot connect to router to install using the website either. My guess is it’s the Arris modem/router combo. I’m not too tech savvy, but know enough that I probably need to turn off the router function on the Arris. Can’t figure out how and ISP refuses to do it and making different excuses on the why they cannot do it.
Any thoughts on how to get this working again? Thanks in advance.

Re: Orbi RBK852
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
