Orbi rbr750 and Nintendo switch problems

edited to add...my model isn't selectable above. We have the RBR750

Hello, my kids both have the Nintendo Switch and we are unable to get either console to connect to the Orbi RBR750 wirelessly. We have tried every method of reset including wiping one back to factory settings, and disabling the 5hz broadcast. Any ideas? Very frustrated. Every other device in our house works just fine. We are next to the router and speed isn't an issue...

Re: Orbi rbr750 and Nintendo switch problems

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Where are you disabling the 5Ghz broadcast at? I believe that disabling of SSID broadcast is not supported on Orbi AX system.

You can disable AX mode on both radios.

Try setting CTS values from 64 go 2347?

Re: Orbi rbr750 and Nintendo switch problems

Firmware Version
V4.6.3.7_2.0.49

We are using the Charter Arris TM1602 with the Orbi RBR750

We just disabled the 5hz on the routerlogin.net for the device. There is a box under the wireless tab to enable each bandwidth broadcast. We just turned of the 5 and tried to connect. Still didn't work....and I'm not sure what the CTS is? I know just enough to be dangerous. Haha.

Re: Orbi rbr750 and Nintendo switch problems

Try setting your CTS/RTS Threshold to 2347 to maximize compatibility with older wireless devices:

  1. Go to the web admin portal at http://orbilogin.com/
  2. Click to the Advanced tab, Advanced left menu, Wireless Settings
  3. Set CTS/RTS Threshold to 2347 for both 2.4hz and 5Ghz networks
  4. Press Apply

See if that helps.  If problems still persist, next try disabling AX mode for the 2.4Ghz band:

  1. Go to http://orbilogin.com/
  2. Click to hte Advanced tab, Setup left menu, Wireless Setup
  3. Uncheck "Enable 2.4G" under the top Enable AX section
  4. Press Apply
