RBK 753 - one satelitte reboots often

Around noon danish time one of my 2 satelittes often reboots (blinking white). Normally this satelittes connection to the router is OK, however sometimes it is yellow (fair).

Have inserted the correct timezone, so any updates should happen during nigttimes - right ?

What could be the reason and how to improove ?

Re: RBK 753 - one satelitte reboots often

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
https://kb.netgear.com/31029/Where-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite 📡

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Re: RBK 753 - one satelitte reboots often

Firmware version is V4.6.5.14_2.0.54

Internet providers modem is a Sagemcom and I have a fiber line with 1000/500Mbs.

Size of home is 250m2 and distance between router and each of the 2 satelittes is 6-10 meters. The one malfunctioning/rebooting is only 6 meters away from router, however with 2 concrete walls in between - this one does also from time to time show a yellow light (which I guess means that connetion is not good but fair)

Using auto on both frequences and do NOT have a fixed IP-adress.

From beginning the Orbi-router was connected to Sagemcom via cable, however with longer distance from the router. Same problem with reboots and connection-quality with satellite was poor.    Now the router is placed more central, however connected via a powerline adaptor that has reduced the speed from 1000mbs to approx 150mbs.

Apart from changing fra auto channel to fixed, could it also help to have fixed IP adress and cable connect the router again (more speed)

Can I actually link the router and satelitte with a cable and improve the connetion (If the other options does not help)

The log does not show the reboot - can this not be seen anywhere ?

I recommend that you update the RBS first to v.2 FW then the RBR lastly:

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-WiFi-6-AX-and-WiFi-6E-AXE/New-RBR750-RBS750-Firmware-Version-4...

Bring them to same room or near the RBR before updating and update FW using the RBS web page to send the FW file too.

I would set up a IP address RESERVATION for both RBS after FW has been updated on the system.

At routerIPAddress/debug.htm and look at the System Uptime section.
