RBK752 Satellite connect to only to backhaul 2,4 ghz

My Satellite only connct to backhaul 2,4 Ghz.

I try different positions, factory reset, different channels...

The connection is good (blue light) but only 2,4 Ghz

Re: RBK752 Satellite connect to only to backhaul 2,4 ghz

The first step would be to temporarily relocate the satellite to the same room as the router and observe what happens.

i.e. Does the Attached Devices interface say the satellite is connected at 2.4G or 5G.

If it connects at 5G when in the same room, then the 5G signal at the desired location is not strong enough for a good 5G connection.

What is the actual distance between router and satellite desired location?

What physical features lie between the units in that location? (how many walls? what kind of walls? what type of flooring? any major appliances such as refrigerators?  what about HVAC ductwork inside the walls?)

The device are connected where my ol rbk350 worked for years at 5 Ghz.
If i put the device in the sane room after a while it connect to 5ghz.
I can't believe that the rbk350 is powerful than the new.

Thanks for testing.  This verifies that the satellite will connect to the router at 5G.  (Amazing how long computer devices take sometimes.  From power on to blue light seems to take foreeeeeeever!)

The 350 product uses the same 5G frequency for both user facing and router-satellite communication (channel

157 in North America, 108 in the rest of the world

The 750 uses different channels for user facing and router-satellite connection:

Thus, there should be no frequency difference between connecting 350's and 750's.

I don't suppose the 350 system is available to (temporarily) swap back in to verify that it still works as it did before?

Now it connecto to 5Ghz with poor signal (I had to wait 30 minutes) ,
I swapped bajk to 350. on the same position and i have 5ghz with a good signal.

Re: RBK752 Satellite connect to only to backhaul 2,4 ghz

Thank you for taking the time to swap the 350 back in for this test.  I am totally unable to come up with an explanation for how this could possibly happen.

Have searched for the fcc submission on the 350 to see how the internal antennas are oriented (and not found it).

Just makes no sense.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.
