RBK852 Not reaching advertised speeds

I purchased the "Orbi Tri-band Mesh WiFi 6 System, 6Gbps, Router + 1 Satellite" back in September but ever since setting it up it hasn't reached the advertised speed, it won't even reach higher speeds than my modem. I have only about 17 devices connected. What could be causing this problem?

Forgot to add, I am using a wired connection to the Orbi Router and I am receiving about 137MBPS Download & 19.85MBPS upload. On a non-wired connection I am receiving about 50.55 MBPS. On my non-wired connection, just after my reboot through the app I was at 120MBPS and after about 5 minutes it dropped down to the 50.55MBPS even being right next to the router both times. I am also using Centurylink.

This is the router I purchased directly from BestBuy.

Perhaps I misunderstand the question.  The speed provided by the modem is the highest possible speed that can be achieved in terms of the internet.  Devices within the local LAN may achieve higher speeds when communicating with each other, but the maximum internet speed is set by the modem.

The advertised speed of a WiFi system is an artificial concept created by adding the maximum theoretical speeds of each radio link. None of the radio links are likely to achieve anything close to those theoretical speeds in actual practice. It is totally marketing hype.

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What ISP speeds UP and Down do you pay for?

What wired and wireless devices are you speed testing with?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

      I have firmware version V4.6.3.16_2.0.51.
The model number for my modem provided by Centurylink is C3000Z and I'm not totally sure what else you were asking.

The ISP speeds I pay for is 140M download which I'm assuming is 140MBPS and it doesn't even tell me the upload speed that I pay for.

The wired device I am testing with is my PC and the wireless device I am testing with is my iPhone 12Pro MAX which at the time of testing the speed was right next to the Orbi Router.

The size of my home is 3,258 sqft.
The distance between the Orbi Router & the Orbi Satellite is most likely less than 30 feet or right on the dot. I have my router placed upstairs in my office room and the satellite downstairs.
