RBKE963 - 10Gbe WAN port multi-gig or just 1/10Gbe?
Does the WAN port on the new RBKE963 Orbi router support multi-gig speeds (i.e. 2.5/5.0Gbe) or just 1/10Gbe? I realize both the router and satellites have a single 1/2.5 Gbe multi-gig LAN port.
I’m planning to deploy a CM2000, RBKE963, and MS510TXM using the routers 10Gbe WAN port (datasheet states that port is multigig) to connect to the CM2000 2.5Gbe port… then connect the 2.5 Gbe LAN ports on the router and satellites to the MS510TXM multigig ports in a wired backhaul scenario.
The CM2000 2.5Gbe port delivers >1.2 Gb Internet which will only be realized if the 10Gbe port doesn’t link at 1Gbe. WAN aggregation is off the table.
