RBKE963 - Logging device actvity
All,
Is there a way with the RBKE963 latest firmware to trace/log the inbound/outbund connections for a device on the network? My R9000 used to be able to do this - but can't seem to find it in the Orbi interface.
Thanks,
JAX

Re: RBKE963 - Logging device actvity
I don't believe thats supported on Orbi systems.
There is a debug log capture for WAN/LAN I believe, routerIP/debug.htm

Re: RBKE963 - Logging device actvity
Correct. Orbi does not provide two features that some customers wish they did:
- Tracking IP connections between internal and external IP's.
(The underlying Linux platform maintains this information [which is the basis for Network Address Translation], but Netgear does not allow access to it. If the user could telnet or ssh into the router, this information could be retrieved, but Netgear does not support that.) - Keeping a usage record by individual device. Customers ask all the time, "How do I learn which device is using so much data?" and the answer is, "you don't."
