RBR40 — Orbi AC2200 Tri-band WiFi Router needs extender to communicate to satellites

RBR40 — Orbi AC2200 Tri-band WiFi Router with 2 satellites. Router/entry point on second floor, satellites on first floor. Is there an extender or do I buy another satellite for top of stairs to push signal down?

Please visit and post about this over in the Orbi AC forum:

30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. Extender should not be needed nor would work to get RBS connected to RBR. Move the RBS closer to the RBR if needed.

Thank you.

Due to house construction and cable entry point, one of my two staellites can not be moved closer, yet another Satellite at the top of the stairs in view of the router could be installed either another RBS40 or maybe a RBW30???? Thoughts???
