RBR850 - Skip SPC Activation?
Hello!
I'm a new RBR850 owner who mistakenly turned on Smart Parental Controls (which prevents Access Control from working on the Orbi). I did a factory reset and everything is setup and working, however whenever I go into the Orbi app and try to go to Device Manager, I get a pop up screen for "SPC Activation" asking me to setup up Smart Parental Controls as I purchased a plan (which starts Dec 30th). I have a case in requesting a refund for it, but in the meantime not sure what to do. If I turn on Smart Parental Controls it disables Access Control (and I can't get them back if I turn off SPC). But I can't use the app presently as that screen comes up automatically.
Very frustrating.

Re: RBR850 - Skip SPC Activation?
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the SPC product. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Smart Parental Controls and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Re: RBR850 - Skip SPC Activation?
I had a similar issue where the app thought I had enabled SPC (or was it Circle?) and I would just ignore that pop up. Tedious, but I seem to remember being able to use the app.
You requested the refund here:?
