RBSE950

The Netgear router is connected directly to my Fibre Optics Network which is situated at one of the corners of my home.
As such, we bought the MESH system, in hope that with multiple satellites and daisy chain technology, the signals could be repeated via satellite/satellites communication, as not all satellites would be able to connect to the router which is placed at the corner of the house, if we were to illuminate the entire house with WIFI.
To troubleshoot we have logged into orbilogin to try and enable daisy chain, however it appears we do not have the daisy chain checkbox which other users have.
As such we would like to know if our model is compatible with daisy chain and if so, how we can go about fixing the issue
P.S we connected the 2 satellites no more than 7meters apart and they still could not relay the signal

Re: RBSE950

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft? 7 Meters is too close between each RBS and the RBR.
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Daily Chain is automatic. Placement and turning ON of the RBS in order is important to make Daisy Chain work.

What is the bit of hardware in that corner?

How is the RSRE950 connected to it?

Is it by any chance another modem/router of some sort?

The RBSE950 is a satellite. What is the other Orbi on your network? That satellite usually arrives in a kit with the RBRE950 router.

Manuals are always a good place to start.

Visit the support pages:

Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Look for the model number on the label on the device.

Check the section in the manual Ethernet backhaul connections for multiple satellites
.

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
