Unable to connect to xfinity from my router RBR750

I am unable to connect to Xfinity sites at all from my computer, and not to the apps from my phone and from my Amazon Firestick (for Xfinity Stream).

I have license for Armor which was activated recently.

  • Had you been able to connect before you activated Armor? 

     

    What Firmware version is currently loaded?
    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

      Yes, I was able to connect earlier but it stopped working after Armor is enabled.

      Modem: NETGEAR. DOCSIS 3.0 (16 DS 4 US)

      Firmware in RBR Router: V4.6.8.2_2.1.9

       

  • 1. what modem/gateway is the RBR connected to? 

    2. what firmware is on the RBR?

    3. what error are you getting when you try to connect? 

    4. Did you check if armor is blocking it? (disable armor to check it)

      1. Modem: NETGEAR. DOCSIS 3.0 (16 DS 4 US)

      2. Firmware in RBR Router: V4.6.8.2_2.1.9

      3. When trying to connect either via App, login from browser or setup Xfinity Stream, it is going to "oauth.xfinity.com" page and spins for some time till it times out.

      4. It started happening after the Armor is enabled and I haven't tried disabling Armor (How can I do it?).

        There a C or CM model # of the Netgear modem? 


        Go into the Orbi app and select Armor, there should be a settings menu option on the Armor page to disable it. Might be 3 vertical dots or a settings menu icon. Select disable. I would fully reboot the modem and RBR after Armor is disabled.
