how to set LAN port speed in RBS353

just installed RBS 353. using LAN as backhaul connectivity between router and satellite.  However, the LAN port speed was 100M only.  how to force it to 1000M?

could not find setting in APP and Web GUI

Re: how to set LAN port speed in RBK353

Two comments:

  1. Netgear names products using letter codes:
    1. RBK indicates a "Kit", consisting of one router and one or more satellites
    2. RBR indicates a router.
    3. RBS indicates a satellite
  2. There is no method to "force" an Ethernet connection to a particular speed.
Part of the electronics built into Ethernet adapters is a method for them to auto-negotiate which speed to use:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonegotiation
When the Orbi router reports that a port is 100/Full rather than 1000/Full, that indicates that the Ethernet adapters found that to be the highest speed.  The most common reasons for this are (a) problems in the actual cable or (b) problems with the crimped connectors.  For example, if the satellite is connected by a chain of cables, something is messed up along the way. i.e.
    1. A patch cable from the Orbi to a wall jack (or switch) with a connector on each end
    2. In-wall wiring with a jack at each end
    3. Another patch cable from the wall to the satellite with a connector on each end.

A good test is to (temporarily) move the satellite to the same room as the router and use a good patch cable to connect them.
