401 Unauthorized When Trying to Access Web Interface

I get the 401 unauthorized error when I try to access my router settings via the web interface. It doesn't seem to matter what device I use or whether I try orbilogin.net / routerlogin.net or the actual IP address. It also doesn't matter if I'm on WiFi or hardwired. The app works but is obviously limited. I've also had issues recently where some devices will (seemingly) randomly lose their internet connection while others will continue working just fine (a reboot fixes this for maybe a day or 2 and then it comes back).

I have 2 satellites (RBS20) and 31 devices on my network. The router is directly connected to my ISPs Optical Network Terminal (ONT).

After reboot and factory reset & reconfigure, the problem persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: 401 Unauthorized When Trying to Access Web Interface

What browser are you using?

Try a different browser? IE11, Edge or Firefox?

When you reset the RBR, try disconnecting the RBR from the modem first. Then try connecting a browser to 192.168.1.1?

Any progress on this?

Be sure your entering correct values for the log in.

Nope. '

No luck logging in. I can factory reset, set a new password and the problem persists.

I can't even get to the actual login page. I'm immediately prompted to enter my serial number to reset the password, which I've done and it just leads me back to the same place.

Re: 401 Unauthorized When Trying to Access Web Interface

I've been using Chrome on a PC and an Android device.

I'll try it with IE, Edge and Firefox and see if that helps.

Optical Network Terminal is the ISP device that turns the fibre connection into a usable network connection. I can connect my laptop directly to it and get that sweet sweet gigabit connection. Essentially a fibre modem.

Re: 401 Unauthorized When Trying to Access Web Interface

Now I feel silly for not trying this earlier but I managed to login using Internet Explorer.

Any idea why Chrome wouldn't be working to login? Is there a setting I need to change somewhere?

Try clearing Chromes browser cache out. Nothing on Orbi to change. Would be a browser problem.
