Are Rs40 satellites compatible with RS50 router?
I have a RS50 with 2 RS50 satellites. I have bought another RS40 satellite to cover a small remaining black spot. However, the RS40 struggled to connect even when in the same room. When it did, it was stable to 2-3 minutes then rebooted. Firmware would not update when attempted.
Advice please.

Re: Are Rs40 satellites compatible with RS50 router?
You can connect a wired PC to the 40 satellite and attempt to get it upgraded manually. Satellites and routers need to be on same FW version to connect well. Satellite should work ok with the RBR50 router, just know that the connection rate between the router and 40 satellite will be slower than using 50 series satellites?

Are there instructions on how to update the FW using a PC?

Re: Are Rs40 satellites compatible with RS50 router?
Try connecting the RBS40 via wired to the RBR50 router, look up to see what IP address it gets from the RBR router, if you can get an IP address on it, connect a PC to the back of the RBS other port with a PC and navigate to the IP address the satellite got from the router in a web browser...Then manually upload the FW file for it.
