Battery drain on my iOS devices

I noticed that my iOS iPhone's/iPad's battery drains MUCH faster when I am at home on my home Orbi wifi network.

I thought it may have been an issue with my previous house (walls, interference etc) that may have caused it, but just moved to a new home and it's doing the same thing. I dont have good cell phone signal, but I use cellular wifi connection for that at home.

I have similiar cellular signal issues at my work office, but the battery will take 7hrs to drop 20%

At home it will drop down 60% in the same amount of time.

Ideas ?

Re: Battery drain on my iOS devices

What FW version are you using?

What iOS versions are you using?

Try setting a IP address reservation for your devices on the router.

Try using manual channels 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz.

Disable MIMO, Daisy Chain and Fast Roaming on the router, apply settings and reboot.

Re: Battery drain on my iOS devices

Try this:

Advanced Wireless Settings both 2.4GHz and 5GHz changed CTS/RTS Threshold to 2307.

Is IPv6 enabled on the router by chance?

Re: Battery drain on my iOS devices

No it is not enabled. The Orbi is running as an access point connected to my isp's router (IPv6 is not enabled on it and the routers wifi is turned off)

Re: Battery drain on my iOS devices

I would make contact with NG support and see if there is any more help and information regarding this. Something is going on here.
