Can an Orbi Satellite be used as a wired access point without the Orbi router?
I have an Orbi RBR50 with one satellite and the WAN port on the RBR50 has gone bad, described here:

I have a new wired only router handling my home network and I'm wondering if it's possible to use the satellite as a standalone access point without the Orbi router remaining on the network?

My understanding is, "no". Without a functioning router, Orbi satellites simply do not function.
