Connect Orbi CBR40 router to fiber optic cable
Just switched from comcast cable to AT&T fiber optic. CBR40 router only has a coax input. How can I get the fiber optic signal into the CBR40 router? Is the a coax to fiber optic converter? Alternatively, I tried to CAT5 out from the AT&T router to the CBR40 router did not work. Also tried to CAT5 to an Orbi RBS50 and RBS20 satellite. Unsuccessful as well.
The AT&T router is BGW320-505. It is not branded.
Thanks!

Re: Connect Orbi CBR40 router to fiber optic cable
These are two different ISP platforms that are not interchangeable. So you can't use the CBK40 system on a FIber ISP platform. You should return the CBK40 and get a Orbi RBK system with out the cable modem built in.
CAT6 would be recommended and best. CAT5 is older and doesn't support 1000Mbps connection rates well.
Good Luck.
