Does ethernet backhaul work on FiOS yet?
Stepped away from Orbi for 15 months because ethernet backhaul with FiOS was atrocious. Hopping in to see if there has been any success yet in getting ethernet backhaul to work when the base Orbi is ...

Orib wired back haul is not dependent upon ISP services. Only that you have good quality LAN cables and if needed use a non managed switch in between the base router and satellites. Manages switches seem to cause problems with Orbi. Users say that if you have a managed switch, you need to disable IGMP Protocols on the switch. Also Green switches seem to cause problems as well.
No issues with my system on wired back haul. All non managed switches and 1 new managed switch with IGMP procotols disabled.

Here's the thing. If you knew what you were tlaking about you would know this isn't true. The Orbi system has specifically had problems with ethernet backhaul on FiOS if you connect the Orbi system directly to the ONT instead of using the Verizon provided gateway in between the Orbi and the ONT. Both Netgear's Orbi system and Linsys's Velop system have this issue. Something to do with not being able to properly allocate IP addresses. You can look through the history of these forums to confirm.
So again, is ethernet backhaul working with FiOS when connecting the Orbi directly to the ONT yet?
Thanks.

Something you'll need to contact NG support about and I would contact Verizon as well. Verizon has there own support for any Orbi systems sold thru them as well.
