Firmware V1.12.0.18 Discussion
This does indeed appear to be based on (identical to?) the last private beta V1.12.0.16 and has been released to the public. Hope it helps!
Guest mode AP isolation finally works 100% over IPv4 and IPv6 - much happiness in my household. =)

- StkasmApprenticeIt's good news.
I'm wondering what gonna change for people with already problem free Orbi setups. Hope it won't make it worse :)
We have three different generations iOS devices and no disconnects. Well, we'll see soon enough :)- MarkC1024Luminary
I've been problem free, as far as I know, and this update just went in smoothly.

Do I need to do a manual update on SAT? It shows CURRENT Version, but Update Failed ERROR
- Doug-48051Luminary
Support helped correct my FW update error... I did a manual update for the SAT to get the information from the upate page to match.

- OrbiManLuminaryWow a real change log

That is from the HTML release note that comes with the manual download :smileywink:

Still good news. Had multiple Skype calls and walked around to force multiple switches from router to satellite, not one dropped call.
- marshymallowApprenticeIs everyone turning back on Beamforwarding and MU-MIMO yet?
- Doug-48051Luminary
Yes... I have both checked active.
- PhandamApprentice
I have not turned on implicit beamforming yet as I thought that was only needed for older devices and the default beamforming was better. I do have MU-MIMO turned on. All is still working perfectly.
Now if only I could purchase a satellite.

Has anyone tried this new firmware with the Orbi in AP mode? If so did you disable the wireless on your router and let the Orbi handle the wireless connections in AP mode?

Yes, indeed, late last night, we pushed out OrbiOS 1.12.0.18 in response to reports of wireless disconnects, including those with Nestcam / Dropcam, Macbook Pro that have been affecting some users. Over the last few weeks, we’ve taken concrete steps to investigate & address them, including running a comprehensive beta program. Over the next few days, your Orbi will automatically download this firmware and upgrade itself. If you want to manually upgrade, feel free to perform a manual upgrade through orbilogin.net).
We’d like to thank our beta users and Community for helping us through this, and those of you running the beta release (1.11.0.8 or earlier versions of 1.12) should upgrade to this new release.
In addition, in this release, for those customers who have an Orbi with a USB port (RBK50 or RBK53), we’re enabling the USB ports for uses like attaching a printer. This has been a widely requested feature request from the community and we’re happy to deliver.

Unfortunately, the v1.12.0.18 update killed multicast/IGMPv3 support. Everything worked fine with the previous version (v1.11.0.20). I tried downgrading the firmware which worked smoothly, only to find that the firmware is updated automatically again and thus killing my IPTV again. What can I do to at least stop auto-updating? Please help. Thanks
Alex

1.12.0.18 has totally trashed my satellite from what was a working perfectly fine setup. The satellite no longer activates its WiFi radios, shows up as a client on "unknown" on the router and is basically not passing any traffic back to the router.

is there going to be something done so that users can turn off auto updating?
I just had my network drop during a conference call because of an autoupdate
